Title: The World War I Christmas Truce
Contact: ,
Location: Pokagon Room
Description: With World War I in its early stages and hate between enemies reaching extremely high levels, hope of peace seemed like an impossible dream. On the first Christmas during this Great War, British and German soldiers found themselves in a no-man’s land, trying to enjoy a quiet Christmas Eve in the trenches. Carols soon filled the air, and come Christmas morning, both sides emerged for a day of peace—a Chrismas Truce. Join us as we remember the Christmas Truce of 1914.
